Medium-early harvested 'Jagienka' root parsley is a cultivar producing long, high-quality roots that are ideal for storing and processing. It usually takes 160 to 180 days from sow to harvest in case of this particular cultivar. Roots of this parsley take on conical, slender, elongated shape and may grow 17 to 22 cm long and weigh 160 to 200 g. Flesh of the 'Jagienka' root parsley is creamy-white, firm, crunchy and covered with a pale creamy-white, smooth skin. The variety presented in our store is recommended for direct consumption, storing and processing. Its root and greens constitute a rich source of provitamin A, vitamins B1, B2 and C, as well as magnesium, potassium and iron. Thanks to the intense flavour an d aroma parsley may serve as seasoning to soups, cold and warm sauces, vegetable smoothies, white and red meat, salads and fish.

Seeds of the 'Jagienka' parsley should be sown in spring onto a permeable, humous and sufficiently moist soil. In order to harvest large roots that do not bifurcate, make sure that the soil is deeply cultivated, light and not waterlogging.
