Radish 'Tytania', an early variety recommended particularly for spring and autumn cultures under covers, is a cultivar that develops round, large, evenly shaped and sized roots. They take on dark red colour and consist of white, excellent, crunchy and tender flesh. The taste of the 'Tytania' radishes is additionally accentuated by the thin skin. The variety offered in our store does not get pithy. It perfectly compliments salads and may be served with sandwiches or as a low-calorie afternoon snack. Thanks to the beautiful, intense colouring and regular shape of the large roots it may also be used as decoration of the main courses. You should also note that radish (Raphanus sativus) is a rich source of vitamin C, B vitamins, beta-carotene, iron, calcium, phosphorus and valuable mustard oils that show antibacterial and digestion-regulating capabilities.

The soil for radish cultivation needs to be medium compact, aerated and rich in humus. It should also have close-to-neutral reaction (pH 6-7.5). The optimal temperature for this vegetable is 15-18°C. Radish 'Tytania' delights with an extremely short vegetation period, hence it is perfect for early spring and late autumn cultures, particularly under covers.
