Red butterhead lettuce 'Mira' is an exceptional variety that yields harvest medium early. It produces round heads consisting of tightly packed leaves weighing 350-500 g. The colouring of the leaves of this variety immediately attracts attention - the pale green leaves are decorated with a net of red spots. 'Mira' lettuce strikes with an excellent taste and is recommended for direct consumption and decoration of the dishes. Resistance to diseases of the typical leaf vegetables and unfavourable weather conditions are characteristic for this cultivar. What is even more important in case of the early varieties, 'Mira' lettuce does not accumulate nitrates.

Lettuce (Lactuca sativa) belongs to the aster family (Asteraceae). It is an easily cultivated, undemanding vegetable that quickly brings a harvest of tender, tasty leaves. Thanks to the high fibre content it is easily digestible and provides the feeling of satiety. Fresh lettuce from your own garden does not contain harmful substances in contrary to the early vegetables that you purchase at the supermarket and is full of vitamins and minerals. You will harvest the most beautifully coloured 'Mira' lettuce leaves from a sunny site and humous, light, yet not drying soil. This presented lettuce variety may be grown both in the open and in plastic tunnels.
