Salvia ‘Scarlet Bicolour’ is an annual plant that grows up to 30 centimetres in height, with very unusual two-tone flowers that create long and fairly thick spikes. The flowers have a long, light form that protrudes from among its sepals. Also, Salvia ‘Scarlet Bicolour’ flowers contrast with each other in colour, which creates a unique and breathtaking decoration in gardens or flower beds, where the plant looks particularly gorgeous.
Growing: sow the seeds in planter boxes or in covered pallet planters in March. The seeds germinate in 14 to 20 days at 16-22°C. Prick the seedlings out when they have developed 1 to 2 pairs of leaves. Plant out to a permanent position in 25-30cm spacings in the second half of May. Grow the plant in fertile and fairly moist soils in sunny positions. Frequent fertilising and watering stimulates its growth.
