Sheathed woodtuft - mycelium plugs (Kuehneromyces mutabilis) - is an easily cultivated, delicious edible mushroom that fits perfectly into Central European climate conditions. Its tender, soft, golden-brown caps can be cooked in soups, sauces, fried in butter or served with meat, pasta and egg dishes - such as omelettes. You may grow this rarity easily, as long as you provide it with log of any broad-leaved tree.

This offered set contains 20 wooden spawn plugs. Place them into a log, cover the wood with a plastic bag or foil and place in a cool room. As soon as the fungus overtakes the wooden log, thransfer it to the garden to a moist and partially shady place. You will be able to harvest rich crops of the sheathed woodtuft each year for several years.
