Golden oyster mushroom belongs to well known oyster fungus species. Its mushrooms are coloured in different shades of yellow, from pale yellow to lemony yellow. White stems supports 2 - 5 cm wide caps with a funnelshaped hollow in the middle. Golden oyster mushrooms contain plenty of easily assimilable protein and minimal amounts of sugar. They are also rich in magnesium, phosphorus, kalium, iron, zinc and selenium. You will also find some compounds that prevent from certain kinds of cancer in them. Consumption of oyster mushrooms helps lower cholesterene level in blood. They are fitted for drying, marinating and freezing.
