The Blue Passion Flower is an evergreen, rapidly growing, rambling perennial plant that is characterised by a relatively high sensitivity to frost (it requires to be grown at temperatures above 7oC). This variety grows up to 600 cm in height and flowers from August to September. The Blue Passion Flower is often used for decorating balconies, terraces, patios, as well as indoors; in the latter case, the rooms need to be heated, especially during the winter.

Growing: the plants grow best in sunny and ventilated positions. In the summer, the soil should be fairly moist, while in the winter, it should be only moist enough for the plant to survive. Fertilise the plants once a week from the spring to the autumn. Once a year, replace the pots with bigger ones. This variety requires sun and heat to flower, whereas the optimal temperature range for the plants to thrive is from 6 to 12oC.
