Tomato "Prezes" (Lycopersicon esculentum) is a very attractive, large-fruit raspberry tomato variety. It stands out with high productivity and early maturing of the fruit. It usually takes 70 - 80 days from planting seedlings to the harvest. This indeterminate variety requires staking and two-stem growing. One of its advantages is tolerance to potato blight. The fruit delight with their size, as they weigh 160 - 180 g. They take on round or slightly flattened shape and appetizing, raspberry-red colour. They display beneficial proportion of sugars that is responsible for their unique taste. Even though their flesh is tender, these tomatoes can be stored and retain their qualities for up to one week. Due to their excellent taste they are mostly consumed directly after the harvest.
Tomato is an undemanding plant in regard to the soil. It successfully grows and bears fruit in lesser soils. Proper organic and mineral fertilisation of the tomato plants plays a major role. If you wish to achieve rich harvest of highly aromatic and sweet fruit, you should grow "Prezes" tomato on sunny sites. Growing this vegetable from seedlings will bring the best results. For that purpose, sow tomato seeds from March to April in a warm, bright room. Transfer seedlings to the permanent site in the second half of May after prior hardening. The harvest of the tasty fruit takes place from July until August.
