The Robina tree lily dazzles with its huge, bright pink flowers, and their sweet scent. This hybrid, bred by crossing trumpet and oriental lilies delights with a satin glow of the broad, bowl-shaped petals. Pale green grooves at the base of arched petals add a contrasting touch to the uniform colour of the flower. The Robina variety belongs to the most beautiful tree lilies. It grows vigorously, produces plenty of flowers, and blooms long and reliably. After taking root in the garden, it reaches height between 150 and 200 centimetres, producing high clusters of flowers. This undoubtedly exceptional plant will impress on flower beds and in larger groupings. A marvellous tree lily wonderfully covers fences, walls, or less elegant property parts. Substantial size of a tree lily require you to plant them at spots where they have plenty of space to spread. Plant tree lily bulbs in April and May, or in autumn, from September to October. Plant bulbs at the depth equal thrice their height. Keep plants thirty to thirty-five centimetres apart, or even more, as tree lilies grow larger every year. Fertile and permeable, deeply cultivated, and weeded soil suits tree lilies best. High humus content and moderate soil moisture, particularly in spring, supports tree lily growth. Feed the plant all season long, with multi-component flowering plant fertilizers. We also recommend removing wilted flowers to prevent seed development. It allows to prolong the flowering period.
