The "Lenka" carrot is a medium-early, productive variety that brings delicious crops. It is perfectly suited for autumn and winter harvest and long-term storage. The crops, in form of medium large roots, appear after a rather long vegetation period, but their quality makes up for that time. Roots of this variety take on a uniform, orange-red colour and have blunt ends that tend to bifurcate. Their skin is smooth and without discolouration. It shelters sweet, crunchy and compact flesh. The presented variety does not tend to shoot flowering branches prematurely and tolerates lower temperatures. It is a multipurpose variety that can be processed to juice and puree, dried, preserved or frozen.

Choose sunny sites for cultivation of this vegetable. The soil should be slightly acidic, sandy-loam or peat. Sowing on elevated borders and on rows brings best results. Recommended distances between rows are 30-40 cm and 3-6 cm between plants.
