The Corn-cockle is a rampant annual plant that grows 60 to 90 centimetres in height. It features thin hairy shoots which produce trumped pink, purple or white flowers that appear throughout the summer and attract bees and butterflies. The Corn-cockle is suitable for rustic gardens, flower beds and wild flower arrangements. This variety is also used as a cut flower.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into a permanent position in the spring. After the seeds have germinated, grow the plants in 25-30cm spacings in slightly fertile permeable soils. The plants prefer sunny positions and flowers from late June to August.
