Scuba' bean belongs to the earliest varieties of the green French beans. These dwarf plants produce exceptional crops even at lesser sunlight and fluctuating temperature and humidity level. These characteristics make it a great early variety for cultivation under covers. The plants show high resistance to halo blight, anthracnose and green mosaic virus. 'Scuba' bean variety produces regularly shaped, 13-14 cm long and 8-11 mm broad pods. Cooked fleshy and tasty pods are eagerly consumed directly after the harvest.

Seeds of the 'Scuba' bean are sown directly to the borders from spring to beginning of summer. You may sow in batches every 10 to 14 days in order to maximally extend the harvest period. Seeds offered in our store have been treated, what protects them from diseases and pathogens lingering in the soil. The first pods may be harvested within 65-70 days after the sow, usually from July to September. Bean will yield rich crops on warm and sunny sites. These plants prefer permeable soils rich in humus that display a reaction between pH 6.5 and 7.8.
