Elephant' foot, also known as ponytail palm, is an exotic plant originating from Mexico, that is widely known as pot flower. The decorative value of this plant is associated with the interesting shape of its "trunk". The bottle-shaped stem with a rough, grey-brown surface is a water storage. At the top of the stem there is a plume of thin, green leaves that grow 60-80 cm long and fancifully curl towards the "foot". The whole plant grows up to 1 m tall. It is easy to take care of and can be transferred outside in pots in the summer. It loves sun and should be kept at such sites.

Seeds should be sown throughout the year. Soak them for 2-3 hours in warm water before sowing and than place in permeable soil., that should be constantly moist but not wet. A bright and warm, sunny position is a must for this species. Seeds need at least several weeks to germinate.

One package contains 7 Elephant's foot seeds. There are growing tips and sow-by date included in the package information.
