"Orkado F1" tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) is a tall variety that is intended for the field cultivation and requires staking. It yields rich crops of fruit, depending on the cultivation conditions berries reach 130 to 145 g in weight. Round fruit take on nice, regular shape and their light red skin shines. High resistance to breaking belongs to advantages of this variety that produces firm, tasty and aromatic flesh. The "Orkado F1" variety is perfect for direct consumption on sandwiches and in salads. Seeds of the "Orkado F1" tomato should be sown early in spring in a warm room with full access to sunlight. Light, permeable soil or special seedling mixture will work best. Transplant seedlings to the ground in the second half of May, after the risk of spring frosts has passed. Harden young plants before that. Harvest mature fruit as they ripen, from June to September. Tomatoes prefer sunny and warm sites with not too heavy soil rich in humus and other nutrients.
