Home Garden Series' night-scented stock (Matthiola bicornis) for indoor and balcony cultivation is both useful and charming. This tenderly looking plant with low growing, branched, extra thin, pale green stalks sprouts an ocean of light violet, subtle blooms the whole summer long. Their sweet, distinct smell effectively repels mosquitos. The variety offered in our store can be grown in pots on a balcony, indoor or outdoor windowsill. It will adorn every corner and guard us against the uninvited, buzzing visitors.
Seeds of the evening stock, as this plant is also called, should be sown into standard garden soil with an ideal permeability and compact structure. The container ought to have holes to carry off excess of water. Evenly spread seeds covered with a thin layer of soil will germinate shortly after the sow. You should expect beautiful, tiny flowers already in June. They will retain their looks until August. Pots with night-scented stock can be placed both in full sun and partial shade.
A package contains 2 g of night-scented stock seeds for indoor and balcony cultivation. The sow-by date and a growing guide have been printed on the back side of the package.
