Ice Queen' iceberg lettuce is a medium late, delicious, attractively looking variety, whose seeds are sold on a tape. It produces large, firm heads that consist of vividly green, wrinkled, crunchy and juicy leaves. 'Ice Queen' lettuce is intended for the late spring, summer and autumn sow. The leaves that it develops are a perfect, low-calorie snack between meals and form an ideal base for salads. They contain large amount of fibre that gives you a feeling of satiety and regulates digestion. They are a source of provitamin A, vitamin C, as well as other vitamins and minerals, such as potassium, magnesium and calcium.

Seed tapes should be placed on the ground in spring. Take the seed tape out of the package, roll it out and place it on a border in a ridge ca. 1 cm deep. The tape would decompose with time and also allows you to avoid thinning out the young plants.

Every lettuce variety is sensitive to acidic soil, so the reaction of the earth should not be lower than ph 6.5.
