Potassium salpeter is a fertilizer that can be used both in powdery and liquid form as water solution. It does not contain chlorides nor natrium, nor other unnecessary components that might negatively impact plant growth. It contains, though, 13.5% of nitrogen (N) in nitrate and nitrite form and 45% potassium oxide (K2O). This salpeter may be applied from early spring until late autumn in the field and all year long in greenhouses.

Application method and dosage. Foliar application: dust the fertilizer as a 1 - 2.5% water solution (1 - 2.5 kg per 100 litres of water). The foliar application may be combined with plant protection treatment by mixing the potassium nitrate with pesticides. Soil application: - pea and beans 1.5 - 2 kg per 100 m2, 2 - 4 weeks after the sow; - onions and leeks 2 kg per 100 m2, apply 2 or 3 times every 3 weeks; - beetroot and carrot 2 kg per 100 m2, use 10 days after the emergence; - tomato grown from seeds 2 kg per 100 m2, apply after the fifth true leaf has developed, every 3 to 4 weeks; - bell pepper 1.5 - 2 kg per 100 m2, 2-4 weeks after planting, every 4 weeks; - cucumber 1.5 kg per 100 m2, apply 3 weeks after the sow two times, every fortnight; - lettuce and celery 1.5 kg per 100 m2, apply 3 weeks after planting twice, every 4 weeks; - cauliflower, cabbage and broccoli 1.5 - 2 kg per 100 m2, start applying one month after planting, apply twice every 3 to 4 weeks; - potatoes 1 kg per 100 m2, apply after the emergence of leaves, twice every 1 to 2 weeks; - strawberries 1.5 - 2.2. kg per 100 m2, apply once after the emergence of flower buds; - fruit trees 2 - 3 kg per 100 m2, apply once.
