The single-flowered "Flamenco" Mexican marigold is a plant that will reliably decorate your garden and balcony. It is an annual flowering plant that grows up to 35 cm tall. Dense, branched bushes are covered with extremely numerous, double-coloured flowers in warm colours. "Flamenco" Mexican marigold blooms quickly. Its first petals open already in May and June. In the following months new flowers appear every day. The flowering period ends in October, due to the increasingly cold weather only. Blooms of the "Flamenco" Mexican marigold attract pollinating insects. Flower beds covered with these flowers are very often visited by bees and butterflies.
The single flowered "Flamenco" Mexican marigold is perfectly suited for planting on flower beds, borders and alongside paths. It looks beautiful in decorative containers. It can be grown in single-species and mixed compositions. It repels numerous pests, so we recommend to plant it close to the vegetable gardens.
Growing marigolds is as easy as one could only imagine. Virtually all methods bring excellent results: growing from seedlings on seed beds and hotbeds or direct sow into the ground. This plant is undemanding in regard to the site, in only needs to be sunny, and the Mexican marigold will bloom abundantly and look terrific. The Aztec marigold, as this plant is also called, is resistant to adverse weather conditions, easy to grow and blooms abundantly.
