Radish ‘Malaga Violet’ is a characteristic radish variety with a unique skin colour, which, in the case of this plant, is a lovely purple. It grows well in the soil in the open air. Radish ‘Malaga Violet’ produces round roots in a medium size, whose white flesh has a nice mild flavour.
Growing: sow the seeds 1 to 2 centimetres deep in rows in 10-20cm spacings from early spring to late May. Thin the seedlings that grow too densely, leaving them in 3-4cm spacings. Sow the seeds in August to harvest the plants in the autumn. Do not fertilise the plants with fresh manure. This variety can be cultivated as a forerunner, catch crop or an aftercrop.
