Oriental lilies undoubtedly belong to the most spectacular garden flowers. Their huge flowers, intense scent, and a wide range of colours are advantages that cannot be easily found in that combination in other flowering plant species. Oriental lilies have little or no competition after they open their beautiful, sumptuous flowers. Use them to decorate a garden and display them in a vase at home. Rich clusters of oriental lily flowers develop in July and August, putting on a great show. Erect and quite densely leafed stems carry several huge flowers in various shades of white, pink, red, and yellow. Plants offered in the selection that we offer here grow to between ninety and one-hundred-and-fifty centimetres (forty-eight to sixty inches) tall. Long, slightly bending anthers with brick-red ends only add to the charm of the oriental lily. Majestic lilies simply must be used in a diversified garden. Spectacularly flowering lilies look great in compositions with perennials and grown alone. Oriental lilies, richly endowed with flowers, provide excellent floristic material for elegant bouquets and other decorations.

Oriental lilies prefer well-drained and loose soil. The site should be fertilized with compost or other suitable fertilizer. Plant bulbs twelve to twenty centimetres (five to eight inches) deep, depending on the size of the bulb and the type of soil. Oriental lilies must be dug out before the winter or thoroughly, carefully protected with mulch, conifer twigs, or winter garden fleece.
