Chives sprouting seeds are our proposal of a healthy addition that will diversify your daily diet. Thin and delicate shoots will appeal to lovers of distinct, strong flavours. The sprouts, rich in a set of vitamins and elements, will successfully replenish deficiencies of those compounds in the body. Numerous substances are responsible for the healing properties of the sprouts. The high content of vitamins C, B2 and carotene improves the immunity. The presented sprouts effectively stimulate digestion and appetite and accelerate metabolism. They have the ability to lower the LDL cholesterol fraction and have antibacterial properties. The sulphur and mineral content in the essential oils improves the condition of the skin, hair and nails.

Chives sprouts are a fantastic alternative to the ripe form of this vegetable. They go great with meat, cheese and eggs. They taste amazing in salads and salads and look attractive and appetizing as a garnishing of sandwiches, casseroles, sauces and soups. Chives sprouts can be added to almost every dish.

Growing sprouts at home is easy. You can put them in a special sprouter or in glass jar on cellulose or gauze. Prior to sowing we recommend to soak the seeds in lukewarm previously boiled water for several hours. It allows to soften the seed shell and accelerate the germination. Rinsing the seeds and sprouts is the most important care measure, as it prevents the seedlings from moulding and disease attacks. Growing sprouts in a warm, bright place that is however not directly exposed to sunlight, brings the best results. The harvesting takes place after ca. 10 days.
