"Hector F1" tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) is a dwarf variety that belongs to the medium early ones. These plants develop a bushy habit and although they are determinate, they need to be grown with supports because of the abundant fruit production. This universal variety may be grown in the field and under covers of different types. It produces extra large fruit that may weigh 200 - 220 g. Round tomatoes consist of firm, fleshy and sweet flesh. "Hector F1" tomatoes are ideal for direct consumption, but you may also used them in delicious preserves, such as sauces, pulps and juices.

Seeds of the "Hector F1" tomato are sown from beginning of March to May indoors or onto a warm hotbed. Transfer seedlings to the ground after the last frosts have passed, no earlier than in the second half of May. Tasty and juicy fruit start to ripen at the beginning of August and the harvest takes place until end of September. We recommend to start the culture at a sunny and warm border. The soil type is not that important, provided it is fertile and moderately moist. This variety requires standard fertilization and watering during drought periods.
