It grows up to 90 cm tall, when not mown. It is perfectly fitted for short-term pastures, where it is sown in mixtures with treading-resistant pasture grasses and clovers. This is one of the best varieties for hay, since it guarantees 4 - 5 harvests during a single vegetation season. "Maga" lucerne, as this plant is also known as, provides high quality, high-protein fodder and significantly improves the nutritional value of green forage. It also provides excellent material for haylage. Alfalfa is eagerly eaten by animals. It brings rich harvest on compact and medium compact soils and handles periodic droughts very well.
