Lactose, a natural sugar that occurs in milk, is a great addition to beer. It gives the beverage a fuller, sweeter taste that complements other taste notes. Yeast does not ferment it and therefore its taste remains distinct.

Add lactose after the end of fermentation or during wort brewing. This economy pack allows you to dose the right amounts easily and can be tightly sealed afterwards. We recommend to add lactose to all Milk and Sweet Stout beers and their derivatives.

The average dose of lactose is between 250 and 600 grams per 20 litres of beer. A 1 kilogram package allows you to flavour 33 to 80 litres of beer.
