Lettuce ‘Olenka’ is a medium-late variety that produces hard heads, which resemble rosettes. Each of the lovely green heads grows up to 500 grams in weight. Its leaves, with a very tasty flavour, are a perfect addition to healthy sandwiches and a vital ingredient in many salads. Lettuce ‘Olenka’ can be started in the spring or in the summer, depending on the intended date of harvesting.
Growing: sow the seeds from March to April or from June to July. Plant out into a permanent position in 30-40x40cm spacings from April to August. The plants are ready to be harvested from August to September.
