Lettuce "Saba" for all-year cultivation (Lactuca sativa) belongs to the best early butterhead varieties. Its soft, juicy, tenderly tasting leaves take on attractive, vivid, light green colour. They are oval and have wrinkled surface. They form regularly shaped, medium compact heads. They are recommended particularly for children, senior folks, people on diet and those suffering from ailments of the digestive system. The leaves are easily digestible, low-calorie, contain plenty of fibre, vitamins and minerals (especially vitamin C, B vitamins, iron, megnesium, calcium and kalium).

A great advantage of the variety offered here is short vegetation period, what enables all-year cultivation in greenhouses. It yields rich harvest in the field in spring and summer. Seeds of the "Saba" lettuce are sown in the early spring under covers and later, in spring and summer, on furrows. A sunny site with a non-acidic, fertile, light and sufficiently moist soil will allow us to harvest rich crops of tasty, fresh leaves from May to October, depending on the date of the cultivation start.
