Medium early shelling pea 'Walor' is a great Polish variety that handles spring frosts well. It stands out with a moderate vigour and grows 60-80 cm tall. It sports compact, erect habit and dark green, exuberant foliage. 'Walor' pea stands out with concentrated blooming and excellent pod production, what accounts for high, even crops. Pods of the variety offered in our store take on a dark green colour, are slightly bent, grow in pairs on stems and reach 7-8.5 cm in length on average. Fresh seeds take on a dark green colour and there are 6 to 8 of them in every pod. 1000 fresh seeds weigh 340 g and the same amount of dried ones - 150 g. Pea 'Walor' is grown for dried seeds that are rich in B-complex vitamins and contain large amounts of calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron and other minerals, as well as fibre and protein.

Pea (Pisum sativum) is a nutritionally valuable plant that is also easy to grow. It likes moderate cool climate and develops best during early, cool and wet spring. Young plants handle temperature drops to -7ºC. You should choose a sunny site with a humous, properly cultivated, moderately compact soil for pea cultures. The soil humidity should be moderate - the plants need the most water in the germination, blooming and pod development phase.
