Japanese Quince is a shrub that grows 1 to 1.2 metre in height, with its shoots bearing sharp prickles. Its leaves are round, small and shiny, while the brick red flowers grow around 3 centimetres in diameter. The beautiful decorative flowers grow in pairs or clusters of four and appear sometime in April or May, just before their leaves develop. In the autumn, the plant becomes decorated with lovely, citrus yellow fruit which can be used for jams. Japanese Quince is predominantly grown on their own or in small arrangements in parks and gardens.

Growing: sow the seeds in planter boxes or directly into the soil in the autumn; you need to secure the soil from frost with leaves or peat. In the spring, the covering layer is removed all by itself. The seeds germinate in the spring. The young plants, which in the following year will grow 40 to 50 centimetres in height, should be planted out into a permanent position in 1-2m spacings in the autumn. This variety grows well in sunny or semi-shaded positions.

Each packet contains 0.7g of seeds.
Each packet includes a growing guide and a sow-by date.
