Pepper "Citrina" (Capsicum annuum) is a unique, pale green, exceptionally tasty variety with high vitamin C content, sought after by unusual vegetables afficionados. It produces large, evenly shaped, trapezoid, slender fruit weighing 140 g. At the crop maturity stage its peel takes on unusual, attractive yellow-greenish colour that resembles colouring of the lemon peel. Its crunchy flesh is very sweet, what makes it perfect for raw consumption as healthy snack, in sandwiches and salads.
The variety offered here belongs to the resistant, sturdy ones that yield rich harvest in greenhouses, tunnels, or, in warmer regions, even in the field. High quality seeds and proper seedling growing conditions are the keys to success. Seeds of "Citrina" pepper should be sown in early spring in an indoor greenhouse, warm hotbed or at home, in pots covered with glass. You may transplant the seedlings to the permanent site at the end of May only, after the last frosts. Choose sunny, warm sites with fertile, aerated, light soil with high water capacity. You may harvest the crops in the second half of summer.
One package contains 0.5 g of "Citrina" pepper seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
