They are harvest ready after eighty to ninety days after planting, when they are dark red. These delicious peppers that consist of thick juicy flesh taste best raw in salads and as cold appetizers. Peppers are usually grown from seedlings grown earlier indoors. Start to prepare seedlings early in spring. After nine to ten weeks, at the beginning of summer, you can transplant young plants to the permanent site. Do not forget to harden seedlings before. Plant peppers in 40-50 x 50 centimetres seedlings. Weeding, mulching, watering, fertilizing, and - when needed - protection from pests and diseases belong to the basic care measures when growing peppers.
