Sheep or sheep's fescue belongs to grass species that are currently most widely used in the lawn seed selections that are available at the market. It is particularly recommended for lawns set up at sites with dry and meagre soil. A small amount of water and nutrients would guarantee excellent ground coverage with compact turf. This grass variety handles acidic soils well. It prefers, though, sunny and warm sites. It stands out with its slow growth. The grass presented here tolerates close mowing and treading. Exceptionally narrow, brightly green leaves constitute the main ornamental asset of this plant. The foliage often resembles needles. This bunchgrass species develops surprisingly compact and even turf. Sheep fescue is particularly recommended for carpet-type and special lawns, e.g. on dry sites. A lawn grown from the sheep fescue seeds is soft, even and takes on a beautiful colour. This grass species is often used as the pioneer anti-erosion plant. It looks magnificent in single, separate tufts, too.

Each package contains 5 kg seeds of the "Ridu" sheep fescue, growing instructions and the sow-by date.
