Summer Savory is an annual plant that is cultivated mainly for culinary purposes. This variety is a delicious seasoning for fish, meat, beans, soups and sauces. Not only does Summer Savory enrich the flavour, but it also stimulates digestion and appetite.
Growing: sow the seeds in covered pallet planters, planter boxes or directly into the soil from March to April. The seeds germinate in 2 to 3 weeks at 20-25ºC. Plant out into a permanent position in rows in 30cm spacings; make sure that the soil has been prepared well. The plants love sunny positions. The entire portion of the plant that grows above the ground can be used as a seasoning.
