The 'Royal Wedding' white oriental poppy (Papaver orientale ) is a perennial plant in contrary to its many relatives. This magnificent, beautifully branching plant reaches up to 80 cm in height. Its abundant, dark green, pinnate leaves look like a fluffy cloud, from which huge flowers that measure up to 15 cm in diameter appear. They consist of tissue-thin, snow-white petals with a charming black eye in the centre. The 'Royal Wedding' oriental poppy flowers are an elegant and sophisticated decoration for a flower bed. The variety offered in our store fits perfectly into the ordered, monochrome, modern compositions. It will also work great on a casual country-style borders and in a naturalistic garden, e.g. on a flower meadow grown for pollinators.

The 'Royal Wedding' variety dazzles with the beauty of its blooms from May to July. It provides a great company for the early summer flowers such as asters, begonias, geraniums, cornflowers, ornamental garlic, Canterbury bells, violets, lilies, daylilies and mallows. Seeds of the oriental poppy can be sown directly into the ground in late spring. The emergence of this reliable plant takes only 3 weeks.
