Dill "Ambrosia" (Anethum graveolens) is a medium early variety that produces extreme large amounts of green mass. Late production of the flowering stalks is considered one of the greatest advantages of this cultivar, what significantly extends the harvest period. This variety also shows high resistance to diseases. Dill belongs to annual plants. It quickly produces densely leaved stems. The leaves themselves are feathery, threaded, vividly green and aromatic. They owe their intense, pleasant fragrance to the high content of essential oils. "Ambrosia" is perfectly fitted for direct consumption, but it may also be frozen and dried, without loss to its rich aroma. Dill greens contain large amounts of vitamins C, B1, B2, PP and beta-carotene. They are a great source of iron, kalium, phosphorus and calcium.
Dill seeds available in our garden store should be sown from March to July directly onto the field. If you wish to harvest young, green stems and leaves, sow the seeds every 10 days. Dill should grow in light and permeable soils. It does not like drought nor excess of water. It yields richest harvest in fertile soils rich in humus.
Each package contains 100 g of "Ambrozja" garden dill seeds. The package information includes a growing guide and the sow-by date.
