Poplar mushroom is a very delicious fungus that often accompanies poultry and fish. It also tastes great in soups and sauces. They take on even more intensive aroma after drying. Yanagi-matsutake, as this mushroom is called in Japan, grows rather small and develops greyish-brown or yellow-rusty caps. The long stem has a ring in the upper part and is very seldom used in the kitchen.

Willow or poplar wood would work best in cultivation of this mushroom. You may also try to grow crops on sawdust. The optimal growing temperature is 13 - 18°C. The site should be shady. You may harvest mushrooms in spring and autumn for 3 - 4, sometimes even 8 years.

The package contains 20 spawn plugs.

Each package contains detailed growing instructions.
