Rose mallow (Hibiscus moscheutos), also known as swamp rose-mallow, crimsoneyed rosemallow or Eastern rosemallow is perfect plant for people searching for large, splendidly blooming perennial plants for greenhouse or indoor cultivation. The species presented here stands out with great vigour and strong growth, as it reaches up to 150 cm in height. From the ligneous stem emerge numerous side shoots, covered with green, oval leaves. Subtle blooms open among them to enchant us with clean white and saturated shades of pink and red. They are funnel-shaped and have paper-thin petals. New buds form on them continuously from June until late autumn.

Seeds of this thermophilic plant should be sown onto hotbeds, into mini greenhouses and boxes early in spring. In order to germinate they need steadily moist, permeable soil and moderately high temperature. Growing seedlings are transplanted to larger containers. In summer plants may be moved to balconies, terraces or to the garden, while they should winter in interiors protected from frost. Large rose mallows are charming solitaire plants that dazzle with tender, exotic flowers and ornamental habit.

Each package contains 0.2 g of rose mallow seeds. A growing guide and the sow-by date have been included in the product information.
