Blue Woodruff is a rampant annual variety that grows 20 to 25 centimetres in height. Its highly aromatic blue flowers grow little; they collectively form decorative umbellate inflorescences. The flowers embrace the plant from June to September, which is when they are in flower. Blue Woodruff is a wonderful plant for low flower beds or borders. This variety is also used for a cut flower as well as for a cover plant.
Growing: sow the seeds directly into the soil in rows in 20-25cm spacings from April to May. The seeds germinate in 2 to 3 weeks. Grow the plants in sunny or semi-shaded positions; they prefer medium thick soils with calcium.
