"Vit" corn salad (Valerianella locusta), also called lamb's lettuce or rapunzel, is a plant that produces edible, oval, crunchy leaves that stand out with their tender, slightly nutty flavour. They can be consumed raw in salads, in which they taste great with citrus fruit, and in sandwiches. Corn salad is a low-calorie vegetable that is at the same time rich in provitamin A and vitamin C. It is also a valuable source of kalium, phosphorus, calcium, zinc, magnesium and iron. Regular consumption of corn salad leaves helps detoxify the body. The compounds that can be found in its leaves also deacidify the body.

"Vit" corn salad is a variety intended for winter cultivation. Its seeds are sown from August to September directly to the field. High resistance to frost allows to harvest the leaves in the snow. "Vit" corn salad foliage is harvested gradually all autumn and winter long and at the beginning of spring. We recommend to cut it off close to the ground in order not to damage the roots and to enable them to grow back. Corn salad is an undemanding plant in regard to the soil and has a short vegetation period. It yields large crops in every soil on sunny or partially shady sites. It also thrives in containers on balconies. One package contains 0.5 g of the "Vit" corn salad seeds, as well as the sow-by date and growing instructions.
