Mamut (Mammoth) dill is a medium-early variety that produces dark green foliage on a stiff strong stem. It stands out with high productivity. It is perfectly suited for harvesting in bundles and spicing pickles. The Mamut dill is characterized by good health and resistance to drought during the phase of intensive growth. Its abundant, sturdy foliage is rich in essential oils that give the greens their excellent, strong aroma. Presented variety does not lose any of its properties when left on the field. It remains fresh for a long time when harvested in bundles. The Mamut variety is highly valued by the food processing industry, as it retains its colour after drying and freezing. Dill is a popular spice in many cuisines across Europe. It gives dishes a pleasant nutty-spicy aroma. Chopped fresh green dill goes well with potatoes, soups, cold soups, meat, and fish. Aromatic dill twigs add flavour to salads and are often used as a s simple, yet great looking dish garnishing.

The vegetation period of the Mamut variety lasts 75 days. Sow seeds all season long, from the third decade of March until the second decade of August. We recommend to keep plants 8 x 30 centimetres apart. Harvest according to the seeding time, from second half of May until the second half of September. We recommend to sow dill gradually to always have fresh twigs at hand. Dill yields richest crops in a fertile, humous, moderately compact soil. Plants who grow at sunny situations produce the most essential oils.

We hereby offer large, 500-gram packages of Mamut dill seeds. The bag is equipped with a zipper seal that allows you to open it and seal tightly multiple times. It also protects seeds from humidity.
