"Orange Wellington" tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) belongs to the earliest tall tomato cultivars. It is recommended for cultivation under covers, particularly in polytunnels. The fruit ripen after 75 days from planting the seedlings already. This plant stands out from other tomato varieties with its large fruit that take on an attractive orange colour. Plants of this cultivar tolerate the verticilium wilt and fusariosis. They bear giant fruit that may way up to 350 g. These berries delight with their distinct taste and fleshy, almost seedless flesh. They are perfect for direct consumption and preserves.

Tomato seeds are sown from February to March in an heated and well-lit room. The well developed seedlings that have produced a few true leaves may be transferred to the permanent site from April to May. Please maintain appropriate, 50 x 50 cm spacings between the plants. Fruit of the "Orange Wellington" variety ripen irregularly from May until end of October. Regular watering and fertilising of the plants is particularly important in case of the cultures under covers.
