Common mallow (Malva sylvestris var. Mauritiana) belongs to tall perennial flowering plants, although it is usually cultivated as annual. Its erect, straight stalks reach up to 100 cm in height and are covered with numerous, large, dark green, palmate leaves. In early summer this presented variety gains great ornamental value thanks to charming, pink-purple flowers. These single inflorescences have large, tongue-shaped, decoratively denticulated petals with beautiful veins on the surface. Blooms not only attract the eyes of the beholders, but thanks to the sweet nectar butterflies and pollinating insects, too.
Seeds of the high or tall mallow, as this plant is also commonly called, are sown directly in the spring. This plant requires quickly warming soil that is also medium compact, not too heavy, and humous, when only possible. You might introduce it to the background of flower beds or grow it along the fence like any other mallow variety. It fits particularly well into rural style gardens in company of freely growing trees and shrubs.
The package contains 1 g of common mallow seeds. The sow-by date and a growing guide have been printed at the back side of the package.
Approximately 200 seeds (+/- 20%)
