Swamp milkweed "Iceballet" (Asclepias incarnata) is a perennial plant that develops a shrubby, tuft-like habit. Its erect shoots, that are at full length covered with slender, sharp-tipped leaves display abundant crowns of round umbels from July to September. Tiny single, star-shaped flowers of the proposed variety take on ellegant creamy-white colour and smell like vanilla. Rose milkweed, or rose milkflower, as this plant is also called, attracts butterflies to the garden just like buddlejas, what only fortifies its charm. Thanks to the magnificent inflorescences of this tall (up to 90 cm in height) plant every border will be literally vibrant with life.

Cultivation of this enchanting plant species should start with production of seedlings on a hotbed, or at home, in the spring. Direct sow late in the spring will also bring satisfying results. The plant needs a sunny, or only partially shady site with a permeable, humous soil that does not overdry in the summer heat. Because of the large size, long blooming time and beautiful smell of the flowers, swamp milkweed "Iceballet" should be planted in the often visited garden spots, in the background of flower borders and in shrub groupings. You might also use it as an ellegant solitaire.

Each package contains 0.3 g of "Iceballet" swamp milkweed seeds. Package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
