White cabbage "Golden Acre" (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) is an early variety producing green-yellow, round, large, compact heads. Thanks to their high quality, "Golden Acre" heads are perfectly fitted for stuffing, cabbage soup and pickling. Young, soft, crunchy leaves may be chopped and added to salads, as they are a rich source of vitamins B1 and C, calcium, kalium, phosphorus, iron, manganese and other valuable nutrients.

Seeds offered here are intended for spring sow. Seedlings are tranferred to borders in May. Cabbage produces plenty of green matter, particularly in the head forming stage, hence it needs a fertile, moist, moderately compact soil rich in nitrogen. The variety presented here is harvest and consumption-ready in September and October.
