Tom Thumb' garden nasturtium of the Edible Flowers series is a very popular annual ornamental plant that often adorns gardens with their blooms in different shades of warm, sunny colours. What only a few know, it may also be used in the kitchen in many ways. Leaves and flowers of the garden nasturtium have a slightly savoury taste. You may add them to salads and sandwiches. They will not only enrich the taste of the dish, but also decorate it. Nasturtium seeds are marinated in vinegar brine and used instead of capers. All parts of the plant contain sulphur compounds that show antiseptic effects. They are recommended in colds and for improving the condition of complexion.

Nasturtium seeds are sown when the spring is in full swing to pots or directly onto the field. These plants grow quickly and bloom all summer long until late autumn. They thrive both in the sun and partial shade. Grow them in a permeable and moderately moist soil that should not contain too much nutrients, as the plants would produce more foliage at cost of the flowers.

Each package contains 5 g of the Edible Flowers 'Tom Thumb' garden nasturtium seeds. Growing instructions and the sow-by date are included in the package information.
