Stuffing cucumber (Cyclanthera pedata) is still relatively unknown in Central Europe. That's a pity, as the fruit it produces not only tastes great, but also shows beneficial effects. The fruit contains a large set of nutrients: alkaloids, phenols, tannins, fats and vitamins. Thanks to this fact they support lowering the bad cholesterene level, help fighting stomach prblems and show anti-inflammatory effect.

Original shape characterises slipper gourd, as this plant is also commonly called, fruit - they resemble a combination of a cucumber and sharp tipped peppers. Unripe fruit taste like salad cucumbers, while later, particularly after thermal processing, like pepper. They are great for marinating, roasting, cooking and frying.
